“Looks good to me, Cheers Colin”

Collin Geddis
Geddis McFarlane Grounds & Tree Care

Colin Geddis and Glenn McFarlane have traded successfully for over 25 years without a website.  They appreciated the need to be “on the web” but only needed a simple brochure website to mark their presence on the web, describe what their business did and show with images the high quality work and professional services their offer.  ASAP2WEB also made sure their site contained the relevant keywords and did all the search engine submissions for them.

Andrew George of AMG Garden & Estate Maintenance needed 5000 A6 Flyers for a marketing campaign. We also printed Andrew’s business cards and supplied him with a A4 Letterhead image for his laser and inkjet printers – this way he gets his letterhead printed automatically with any letter he produces – saving £100′s! We’ve did the printing at a discount price as Andrew has his website supplied by ASAP2WEB.

Inkscape Graphics 0.48

Version, 0.48 of Inkscape is fast approaching a stable release.  An “alpha” test version is available now.

Inkscape is a Free Vector Artwork package and is comparible with Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw.  It’s key features is that all vector artwork is completely scalable either up or down without degradation.  You can also import raster graphics such as photographic jpg’s or png’s.    You can also export any artwork created as a png (Gimp can convert this to a jpg or other format).  At asap2web we make use of both Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape.

New features for 0.48 include numerical input for kerning, baseline shift, word spacing and character rotation.  The latest stable release is version 0.47 If you’ve got previous versions of Inkscape on your pc please ensure you keep these separate from any newly installed versions.

All versions are available for free download at www.inkscape.org

Here are some more screenshots of version 0.47

Gimp Graphics 2.7.1

Version 2.7.1 of the Free Graphics Software, The Gimp has been released.   This is an “unstable” development release which means don’t pin too many hopes on it working 100%.

A number of our clients use Gimp for photographic and graphic art image processing.  It’s comparible with Adobe Photoshop and considering it’s free it is an amazing piece of software.

The latest stable release is 2.6.10   We suggest if you’re using Gimp that you stick with 2.6.10 unless you’ve got free time to explore this latest release.

Gimp give instructions on their website for download at www.gimp.org They also provide information about keeping your Gimp versions separate on your pc which we strongly advise.
